Today marked the first in a series of Money Telseminars conducted by Dr. Raymond Jewell. The sessions are delivering excellent information, tips and techniques used by Dr. Jewell in his private consulting business. The session began with a brief introduction, and then right into the essence of economic consulting which is building economic models, using one's own financial condition, that can used to foretell the future of the individual in the next years. Economic models are the essential part of Dr. Jewell's business.
The hour and a half long session untapped little known issues of losing wealth due to unforeseen items like taxes, and how to increase profit, without necessarily increasing income. For those people that were paying attention, this information is coming straight from one of the leaders in the economic advising field. Many nuggets of knowledge were found there for anyone to implement into their own finances, to amplify their success in wealth creation.
One item that I found of great interest is that of buying assets, not stuff. I had read a book that talked about this same idea, and that was the well known fact that walking into any wealthy person's home, you will find art, gold, silver and they probably have a portfolio of real estate holdings as well. In other words, the wealthy buy assets, the poor just buy more stuff. I think that this may take the shape of peering into any Wal-Mart parking lot, any day of the week, and simply observe the people who come and go.
I would like to personally thank Dr. Jewell, and his staff, for putting together these sessions. I find it extraordinary that people can gain this type of insight and knowledge for no money. If they are not willing to invest a short hour, once a month, then I dare say little could be done to help them with their financial woes.
